“And above all,
watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you,
because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.
Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”

Take a word challenge

The challenge this week is black, white and red.

I decided on a kitty this time because
about four weeks ago, my little Tabitha cat
slipped out the back door.

It was around ten in the evening..
We spent 6 1/2 hours looking for her..up and down the streets,
calling for her..crying..worrying..walking..
I'd read that if your cat gets out,
you should put their litter box outside by the door, they can smell it and
will come back to use it, if they are so inclined..
also recommended..
heat up tuna or wet cat food in the microwave and set it outside.
(the stinkier the better)
When calling out for your pet..use a soothing voice..they can tell if you're stressed out .
Long story short..
we got her back..
she was super skittish and needed a good coaxing and a quick grab
to bring her in to safety, but we got her!
I'm 90% sure it was the recommendations that helped.

Hope you have a beautiful day!

Next week on the 5th is our first Haunted Humpday of the season!!
come back and visit..there might be a giveaway:)

See you soon!

A little witch, a bride and some cake...

Hello!
How are you doing?
Can you believe it's getting close to the end of August?
Time seems to be flying by faster every year.

I went to the doctor yesterday and he's pleased with my progress.
I don't have to go back for 6 months:)

Since I've felt better, I've been able to get a little more crafting done.
I have not really been able to go many places, but I'm okay with that for now.

Here's a couple of Halloween ornaments and a painted canvas I made...

Little Witch's Walk:

 Frankie's Bride:

 Cakes & Crowns:

So guess what?
Haunted Humpday is going to be here pretty soon!
I hope you are going to join me again this year.

Also..
Stephen King's Birthday-palooza is happening next month..
I'm going to have the usual creepy foods, decorations &  guests.
Oh! and a few give aways!!!!
I really hope you will stop by for that too.

I'll see you back here really soon..
School has started up and Helena and I are getting our curriculum ready.

Doubles, Bats and Fog

'Victorian'

I had to make it a little spooky...
That whole era seems a bit creepy to me,
I read a story about a young
Victorian girl that was left home alone for an afternoon.
While walking in the garden, she happened to glance up at her house and thought
she saw the curtain draw back from an upstairs bedroom..
Since she was certain she was alone, she figured it was merely
the breeze blowing through an open window.
As the day drew to a close. she too, decided to retire for the evening.
She went up to her bedroom and stopped in front of her mirror to pin back a stray curl..
The face staring back at her was her own, but the eyes were glazed and distant.. the lips curled
in a malevolent smile,
the chest did not rise and fall with breath, it was still.
By the time her family returned home, she was delirious with fever.
She recounted the events of the day, her eyes bright with feverish terror..
her last word was
"doppelgänger"

While there isn't a doppelganger in the image above, this is the picture I have in my head
of what the young girl might have looked like.

Thanks for looking:)
