“And above all,
watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you,
because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.
Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”

November moves in...

time has run away from me lately, but
We have done SO much!!
We made our visit to the Arizona State Fair.
There were gigantic corn dogs, milk shakes, huge french fries
and for the first time ever, I had some
Funnel cake!!!
I'm sad to say I loved it!!

We had a great time in the silly haunted house...
I had to take a picture of this..he looks too much like Pennywise not too.

we got on the Ferris wheel

Actually won a huge stuffed animal,
Helena's new stuffed toy..

We went to the zoo
It was so much fun..the crowds were terrifying, but it was worth it.
Here's Helena the zombie hunter and her cousin the zombie.
(they wanted to be serious for this picture)

Great Pumpkin night was awesome as usual...
He brought toys and candy for Helena..
sweet smelling goodies for me.
We also went to a home haunt on the 30th..
It's called Terror Nights
It was So much fun!
actually scarier than some of the "professional" haunts Ive been to in the passed few years.
Dia de los muertos has always been a huge deal for me..
especially now that both of my parents are gone.
I set up our family altar in a new space this year.
Now that I moved away from negativity
I dream of my mom and dad on a regular basis..
I had many dreams of them the passed few nights.

while at the great pumpkin festival at the botanical gardens a couple of weeks ago,
I was able to visit the amazing exhibit they had set up for this special occasion.
It's is gorgeous!!

Now that we have entered November
I'd like to slow down just a tiny bit.
Thank you to everyone that stopped by and joined in on HH !
I appreciate it so much.
Oh! I have a painting to give away too!
that will be in my next post so stay tuned, lol!
I hope you are doing well and staying cozy.
I'll be back very soon.
Now, does anyone know where I can get funnel cake in Tempe?

  1. I'm happy to see you had such a great time.

  2. It's just yummy that you started the post with funnel cake and ended it with funnel cake thoughts. You know what? I haven't have funnel cake in 9 years. I need to fix that... even if my tummy complains for a day or three--some things we just shouldn't give up forever.

Love the picture of Helena and her cousin looking all morose and zombified.

  3. I love your blog. I just recently dumped the negativity and noticed having dreams of my mother. I never but the two together until you mentioned. Your so wise!

  4. Funnel Cake is wonderful! You have been busy and having so much fun! <3 *Hugs*

  5. The fair looks like so much fun. Your alter and the other ones are so beautiful. I hope November brings rest and joy all bundled together.

  6. That is so interesting about dreaming about your parents now that you remove negativity. I too have been better about negative thoughts consuming me and have started dreaming about my mother.

  7. You always put so many cool things in your post! Did you have to talk about all that food, first off??? LOL! You made me so hungry! LOL!
The fair looked amazing! Love the stuffed animal, with your girl! So cute!
Your altar for the dead is gorgeous! Good for you moving away from negativity! I am sorry for the loss of both your parents!
    The exhibit is stunning!
I know, I still have to e-mail you! LOL!
    Big Hugs!!!

  8. Glad you had fun this week but why you are sad to say this that you love that cake it looks yummy

  9. Lovely exhibition, indeed!
And that funnel cake looks so scrumptious.
