“And above all,
watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you,
because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.
Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”

Haunted Humpday IX

How's eveyone this week?
It's our ninth

I'm sorry I've been so out of it...
I think I have been over doing a lot lately.

Tonight has been nice...as I sit and type this, I can hear
eerie music coming from the living room...
my niece is visiting and she's carving a pumpkin with Helena.
After it's done we are going to turn off the lights and watch the candle
flame dance inside the creepy jack-o-lantern for a while.
They chose a scary movie and we're having popcorn and cocoa too:)

We did have some good news today
.
Our kitty, Logan was very very ill.
He has asthma and his meds were not working anymore.
We thought his days were coming to a close..
but it turns out he's going to be fine
and we couldn't be more excited.
I still feel weak and I don't really have the appetite I used to...
But I do feel better, thank you all for your well wishes.
How is it only ten days left?
Saturday we are indeed going to the Howl-O-Ween
event at the zoo.
(cross your fingers)
Helena has decided on being Bloody Mary.
I will be a zombie with a slashed throat
I'll try to remember to take pictures:)
So I'm wondering...did you enjoy the video last week?
This is another one that's pretty good too!

Here's our pumpkin...
they did a great job!

Oh I watched this amazing movie this weekend!!!
It was so good.
If you get a chance, watch it!

Alright!
I'm off to have a cocoa now.
Hope your week is fun.

  2. I'm glad you're having a nice day, and I'm super glad your kitty is going to be fine! What a super cutie.

You guys' pumpkin turned out freakin' amazing and I feel very inspired. We're having our pumpkin carving this weekend.

Thanks for the movie tip, I love the look of it and I'm dying to see it! (Though I probably have to wait several months for it to come to Sweden)

  3. Logan is such a cutey! I was thinking of taking the kiddos to watch The Book of Life. We've been watching Halloween movies from my husband and mine childhood with the kids and they enjoy it. No pumpkin carving yet for us, they tend to mold fast and fill with icky black bugs.

  4. Hi Marfi and Happy Haunted Humpday!
Good to hear you're feeling a little better, I know quite a few people out with a bad colds. I came down with it a week ago and it's the worst I've had in years. At least Halloween is still more than a week away so there's hope for recovery in time to party, right?
So glad you got some good news about your kitty. I love your photo of him, what a cutie.
Wow, that pumpkin is amazing! Fantastic work.
Thanks for hosting and finding those scary videos!
    Cheers, Sarah

  7. Glad to hear that you're recuperating and that Logan will be okay! This has been an odd Halloween season... hard to get in the mood, but I'm plugging along. It'll be here and gone before we can say "Boo"!

  8. Oh, your kitty is so darling! I am so glad to hear you will be able to enjoy him and not worry about his condition. The creatures are so important to us, and when they are ill, it's very saddening. But he looks like the perfect poster kitty for Halloween! Be well dearest Marfi! Anita

  9. Good to hear that Logan is doing well again. :)

I hope you are soon feeling better, too -- get well soon, Marfi!

The pumpkin has turned out great -- I might try something like that this year.

Thanks for the movie recommendation -- I wonder when it will be released in Germany.

The movie is scary again. I just spent some time checking out the other movies of that guy. So spooky!

    Hugs,
    Birgit
