It's time for the moonlight party under the big top!
I painted a canvas just for this special occasion...I call it Magaly and Celeste.Looks like they're leading us straight to the circus, leaving a trail of roses and glitter in their wake!
Thank you to bliss angels and Tabby's place for hosting this magical event and for inspiring me to create.
see you soon!

Altered Witch Shoe and It's Fall!
It's Autumn & I've got my altered witch shoe all ready.
I used an old boot...but it was low so I stuck an empty tin can in it and added duct tape to the toe to make it pointy...
Then I covered the whole thing in a layer of white glue and decoupaged paper onto it.
The rest fell in place and now I'm ready to skip over to Frosted Petunia's and see what's kicking:)
Have a Happy weekend.

Halloween Gifts
Don't you just love getting gifts?Especially for no good reason?Especially if they're halloweenish??
My niece gave me these adorable salt & pepper shakers!!!they're magnetic, so Mr. vampire sticks to Mrs. vampire's neck.
These hand sanitizers smell so good!from my daughter) and the bat's eyes light up so you can use it as a flashlight!

My sister bought me this incredibly yummy coffee, it's PERFECT for this time of year.

Along with this gorgeous cup to drink it from..

Then, on Sunday a wonderful new friend treated me to lunch, I brought home an empty soup container....

and I turned it into a centerpiece...

which I will give away soon:)

It's like Christmas around here...except it's spooky, hahaha
Thank you to everyone that sent me get well wishes..it worked!

blah blah blah
Did everyone have a fun holiday weekend?
I had a lot of things planned, starting with dusting and clearing out the shelves in my little studio:)

I love finding treasures stored at the back of the shelf, then forgotten, it's like a gift to yourself, lol!

I found a lot of my empty perfume bottles and cleaned them up...I always save them, sometimes I turn a few of them into dolls.(but that's another post)

brushes and pens were organized, clean canvases ready for anything, felt & yarn set to be turned into fantastical creatures...
and boom!

Nothing! I couldn't think of anything to paint or sew or keep my interest... not even reading or eating...
full moon,

right...
I guess that was the fever talking, But either way,
I'm feeling a little bit better now

turns out I caught that nasty end-of-summer cold:(
So I spent the majority of the weekend here,
in my candy sprinkled bed, fluttering my iridescent blue wings gazing out at a lusciousfull moon,
whilst reclining on a cupcake pillow.
right...
I guess that was the fever talking, But either way,
I'm feeling a little bit better now
and hopefully I'll have some goodies to share with you later this week.
See you soon,

Halloween fairybat
There's 71 days until Halloween!!!Let's get busy making some creepy fun decorations!!
Here's a fast, easy project.
This is what you need:
unfinished cupie doll head from Lisa Kettell's artfire shop
an old Christmas bulb
Black, purple, green ultra fine point markers
glittery black fibers/yarn
orange pipe cleaner
black acylic paint
ultra fine pastel glitter
small plastic bat
hot glue gun
glue
Directions:
add facial details with markers,
paint cupie doll hair black, while it's still wet, add glitter, set aside.
wrap fibers around base of bulb, secure with hot glue
cut two 1 1/2 inch pieces of pipe cleaner, attach to base
cut wings off plastic bat, glue to back of bulb, behind the arms
add a bit of glue to tip of bulb, hold cupie head on glue until it sets.
I think most of us have a few burnt out night light bulbs or Christmas light bulbs.
Or you can find some at thrift stores or yard sales, I found a huge container of them for 75 cents.
TIPS:
cut faces out of magazines or print some out.
Plastic bats should be readily availible right now at party supply stores or dollars stores.

House Guests
Hello!
I hope everyone has had a great week.
Ever since the announcement was made about Le Mysterieux Carnival blog party, all kinds of weird things have been happening around here.
I hear odd music in the distance...candles light up of their own accord,
strange sparkles float around....
A little early, but they were so excited for the party!
They're going to be staying in my gypsy wagon for now, but you can be sure they will be performing at the carnival...
I'll introduce a couple of them to you right now...
Connie and Stanzie..The Bat sisters...all dressed up in their best dancing costume.

And Francois the Fabulous! The absolute strongest strong man ever....created:)

There are a lot more of them waiting to meet you, and after the carnival you may have a house guest of your own.
Well it's time for me to go make some snacks for them all....at least it's just hot dogs and candy apples!
see you soon.

Raising Kane

I said goodbye to my best friend yesterday.I can't express how sad we are and how beloved he was.
One hundred eleven pounds of pure, friendly, happy, lick-y, amazing dog.
We found out in May that he was ill, and nothing could be done.
His last few weeks were spent with us showing him even more love than ever, and he ate absolutely anything he wanted:)Once he started to show signs of pain we knew it was time.He passed surrounded by love, kisses and promises. He was the best dog.

He never growled or barked, unless he was told to speak or he heard singing.
I'll never sing the birthday song or buy oreos again.
I will never stop missing him.

Goodbye my good boy.
Prayer of a Pitbull
Spirit in the sky, who watches over all animals: it is my prayer and my request that you grant greater understanding, and acceptance to humans; those who love us, and those who hate us.
That they will know how loyal we are, how brave we are, and how loving we are. Help them to accept us as a breed in whole and not let the few tragedies shine brighter then the many great traits that we have.
And those who would kill me, let them know, I forgive them even though I don’t understand their hatred. And those who would beat me, let them know I still love them, even though it is not the honorable way (to treat me).
Thank you for all the strong traits that you have given to me and my breed. Help those to know that I stand for courage, strength, loyalty, and bravery, and as my master already knows, let those who would come against my family know that I would surrely die defending them.
And just one thing that I would ask: let my master know, that if you should call me away, that I will wait patiently at those pearly gates until the one who chose me comes home.
Amen.
