“And above all,
watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you,
because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.
Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”

hi again

hello!
I hope everyone is doing well.
it's been about three months since I've been here, and I have missed everything/everyone so much.
I'm so sorry.
Thank for sticking around...

If you're interested  I'll give you a condensed version of what's been going on.

My dad has been diagnosed with dementia and our lives have been turned
upside down.
He has his moments when he's himself, still quiet, still sweet, still knows I'm his favorite:)
but most of the time the hallucinations take over.
In January he got an infection and never really recovered completely, so now he relies on me and my husband to do just about everything for him.

We're just getting into the rhythm of it all and I'm beginning to realize that I'm blessed, no matter how "off"
everything seems or feels lately.

I'm going to be around more frequently from now on, I'm even hoping to open up my etsy very soon!
Again I want to thank all of you that have stayed on, you guys rock:)

Hope you have a beautiful rest of the week.

  1. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It isn't easy being the caregiver, I did with both of my parents and it takes it's toll. So be good to you and take deep breaths. Good to hear from you and know that you are still kicking it here on the blogosphere. Oma Linda

  3. Glad you're back. Dementia is a horrible thing in all its many forms. My Mother was badly affected but I was the last person she ever recognised.
    Sending hugs. xx
